I would besides advise, as well the Composer as the Performer, who is ambitious to inspire his Audience, to be first inspired himself; which he cannot fail to be is he chuses a Work of Genius, if he makes himself thoroughly acquainted with all its Beauties; and if while his Imagination is warm and glowing he pours the same exalted Spirit into his own Performance. - Francesco Geminiani, The Art of Playing on the Violin, 1751

Who I am

I am a free-lance violinist who performs at many different venues throughout Southern California. I have played for symphony orchestras, chamber music groups, rock concerts, weddings, recording sessions, and TV and film projects. I have performed music written in Baroque Europe to music written in March 2008 in Ontario, CA. I also teach violin at the Claremont Community School of Music, the University of La Verne, and privately. I am currently pursuing a DMA in Historical Performance Practice - Violin at the Claremont Graduate University and am currently focusing on music from the Baroque era.
